Are they engaged? Fresh claims Robert Pattinson and FKA twigs ARE to wed...despite her pal T-Pain insisting it was just an April Fools' Day joke
Earlier this month it was revealed that Robert Pattinson had given his girlfriend FKA twigs a 'promise ring' and on Wednesday it was been claimed, by FKA twigs' friend and collaborator T-Pain, that the pair are actually engaged.
However, fans were left furious when he revealed that the whole thing was just a, April Fools' Day joke.
But the plot thickens as two sources later confirmed to People that despite T-Pain's protestations, the pair ARE in fact engaged and planning to wed.

MailOnline has contacted reps for Robert and twigs for comment but has not yet received a reply.
People's claims come less than a month after the publication revealed that Robert was desperate to tie the knot with his girlfriend of six months.
'He wants to marry her,' a friend told People. 'They are inseparable when they are together. They live at his house.'
Things kicked off on Wednesday when in a new interview with Vulture, T-Pain said: 'She's engaged now... to ol' Patty [Robert Pattinson]. I don't know if she wanted anybody to know that …'

It is not clear if it was an April Fools' joke or he was backtracking after letting the news slip.
Fans were furious with one writing succinctly: 'what a d**k move.'
Another had much more to say, grumbling: 'I'm sure she put you up to this. Nice publicity for you both but next time both of you should try and put out some good music and get recognized instead of attempting to ride an actors name. Not cool man.'
And one person slammed T-Pain for opening up FKA to abuse from fans, writing: 'because of your joke it is twigs that will be attacked by dumb 'fans' nice job.'
One other Instagrammer mused that it could be a bluff, with T-Pain simply covering up for letting the news slip.
They wrote: 'Great way to get publicity...Either it's true and youre back tracking for letting it slip or you're doing it for attention. Either way, you got a reaction. Silly and superbly unprofessional....'

They may or may not be engaged but the British actor is said to have presented the singer with a promise ring as a token of his love back in December in order to show his commitment to her.
A source told E! News that the Video Girl songstress was 'ecstatic' with the gesture, though they insisted it doesn't mean the couple are planning to get engaged just yet.
And a source told People magazine, that both are sporting promise rings and claimed: 'He wants to marry her. They are inseparable when they are together. They live at his house.'

The pair spent the festive season with the 28-year-old actor's family in England and another insider recently revealed his two elder sisters, Lizzy and Victoria, 'adore' his new girlfriend and 'totally approve' of his relationship with the 27-year-old singer.
The couple reportedly first bonded over their love of music and have been dating for the past seven months.
A source recently said: 'There is a special connection between the two of them. Music is a big part of the relationship, because it means to much to them. Rob loves her music.'
