'Being a b**** is best!' Singer Charlie XCX refuses to censor herself but doesn't want to be a role model for young fans for fear she will 'make mistakes along the way'
Pop sensation Charli XCX has grown up in the music industry but prides herself on doing things her way.
And the outspoken 22-year-old knew early on she wasn't going to be moulded by record industry executives and even had words with her record label as a 14-year-old songwriter.
Now, the ever confident British-born says she is proud to be part of the 'b****-pop' genre, telling Sunday Style magazine: 'Being a b**** is the best'.

'Being a b**** is best!' British pop-singer Charli XCX admitted to Sunday Style that she won't censor herself, even if it means developing a reputation for it
Charli, who's real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, likes telling it like it is and doesn't care what people make of her uncensored style.
'Even though I probably am [a role model], because certain people look up to me, that’s never been an aim of mine,' she told the publication.

Earlier this year, the brunette beauty echoed a similar sentiment after her fiesty attitude gave her a reputation, telling UK's Glamour magazine: 'I don't care if people call me a b**** because it's not about being a b**** it's just about controlling your own sh** and being a business woman.'
'I don't care if people call me a b**** because I know what I'm doing is the right thing,' she added.
The pop-star has written for a number of big musicians including Gwen Stefani and Rita Ora.

Charli also wrote and featured on Australian rapper Iggy Azalea's hit song Fancy, which hit the top of the charts worldwide.
Now the energetic performer, who took to the stage at the MTV Movie Awards in LA last week and is currently on tour with Katy Perry, will be making her way Down Under for Groovin The Moo music festival.
The I Like It singer will take to the stage alongside homegrown acts such as the Hilltop Hoods and Wolfmother when the festival kicks off in South Australia on Saturday, before making it's way around the country.
