It was one busy day for Jennifer Lopez, as she graced the stage at the grand finale of the latest season of American Idol after working the red carpet with flair.
But on Wednesday evening, after an entire afternoon and evening of filming for the popular show, she kept herself going, changing into a little black dress for a date night with boyfriend Casper Smart.
The 45-year-old beauty - who had dazzled on stage earlier in the evening in a barely-there silver dress - looked the perfect mixture of chic and cute in her flippy little number.

With her tanned and toned legs on display thanks to the tiny A-line hem of the number - which was made of black lace over a nude underlay - she looked ready to carry on the night.

With her long honey blonde locks scraped back off her face, she finished the look with a pair of large dangling earrings, and added height to her frame with strappy black sandals.
Meanwhile, her handsome on-off boyfriend Casper, 28, looked far more casual this his gorgeous lady.

Former judge Steven Tyler performed Love Is Your Name, and even sang the classic song Piece Of My Heart with contestant Jax.
Fall Out Boy jumped onto stage to belt out Centuries with finalists Nick Fradiani and Clark Beckham, while Jamie Foxx serenaded the audience beside contestant Rayvon Owen.
New Kids On The Block also made an appearance, while Janelle Monae wore a gold tiara as her team of back-up dancers grooved to the beat.
That night handsome rocker Nick beat out Clark and was named the next American Idol.
