Looking the business! Dapper David Beckham is joined by close friend Dave Gardner as they attend MLS franchise meeting in Miami
Plans to develop an ambitious new MLS franchise are firmly in place, and David Beckham was on hand to discuss the mooted project during an appearance in Florida with close friend and confidante Dave Gardner on Monday afternoon.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder exited the offices of American delivery giant DHL with football agent Gardner, less than a day after flying into the coastal city from London.
Beckham, 39, looked typically stylish in a smart black blazer and matching jeans following a meeting as he looks to develop a new soccer team, and with it a new stadium, close to the sweeping Miami coastline.

The sporting icon teamed his ensemble with a pair of on-trend Stan Smith trainers courtesy of long-term sponsor Adidas, while his hair was casually swept away from his face.
Still sporting the prodigious beard he’s been cultivating over recent weeks, Beckham made his way towards to a waiting car with Gardner, who clutched a sheaf of paperwork.
The ex-England captain revealed plans to launch a new $25 million MLS franchise after exercising an option tied into the lucrative contract he signed after making a potentially risky move from Madrid to Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007.

But the development of a new stadium has hit a snag, with an adequate location yet to be approved; team management, name and kit colours have also yet to be finalised by Beckham and his fellow investors.
In March, a Beckham source told The Guardian: ‘Things are progressing in Miami, and we are very much on track in our plans.
‘David Beckham is very positive about the future of the club and he continues to enjoy incredible support from the people in Miami.

‘Right now, our focus is on identifying the location for a purpose-built stadium that will be the team’s permanent home.’
Undoubtedly one of the world's most stylish men, Beckham recently revealed that he takes fashion inspiration from his three sons, Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12 and 10-year-old Cruz.
He told Spain's El Mundo newspaper: 'I do get inspiration from my kids.
'Brooklyn is constantly coming up with his own look, and Cruz is the same, and Romeo is Romeo, he looks good in everything. So they give me inspiration all the time.'
