The couple were reportedly attempting to salvage their year-long romance after calling off their engagement and separating in May – but insiders claim they have since decided to remain apart.
A source told The Sun: ‘Kym is heartbroken. She carried on wearing her ring after she and Dan decided to take a break and hoped they’d get back together. But it has become clear there is no way back for them.’
The reported split comes little more than six months after the father-of-one - who shares a daughter, Lexi, with Hollyoaks actress Steph Waring, proposed to mother of three Kym during a romantic weekend at a Manchester hotel.
‘There are a lot of feelings still there, but the engagement was too much, too soon, and seems to have driven a wedge between them,’ the source added.

Following their split a source told MailOnline: 'Kym and Dan have called things off, but they are hoping that this is a short-term thing and that the break will help them to resolve their differences.
'They both have busy lives but they are hopeful that they will be able to sort things out.'
